However, since he sold Minecraft it seemed like he had a downfall. But how did this happen? 

First, a little background. When he was six years old, his father had given him a Commodore 128 computer. That’s where Markus would spend hours programming, and by the age of eight years old, he had created his first text-based adventure game.

His mother had also gotten him to take an online programming course to boost his coding. Persson got a job with Midasplayer, later changed to king.com, and in 2009 he started working on Minecraft on the side.
